Workbooks
The Workin’ With Tradition workbook is based on relevant, real-life stories from individuals within Native American communities of Montana. The curriculum follows the lives of four main characters and the diverse cultural, practical, and ethical challenges they face in their workplace environment.
Topics include:
- Time management
- Communication skills
- Accountability
- Expressing concerns to supervisors and coworkers in a controlled, positive manner
- Customer service
- “Unspoken” rules of the workplace
- Self-examination and evaluation
- Resources for finding and obtaining a job as well as excelling in the workplace
Individual scenarios are accompanied by multiple written exercises that encourage participants to actively engage in personal reflection as well as group problem-solving and role play. These exercises allow participants to ask questions of themselves, considering how they would, or should, react in the same situation.
